Win A Tropical Fruit Basket From Melissa’s!

Melissa’s, the source for awesome produce gifts, is helping us celebrate National Nutrition Month!

Two lucky fans will win a tropical fruit basket and a copy of Melissa’s 50 Best Plants on the Planet cookbook. And two additional readers will win cookbooks, too! Entry details are below!

Two Appetite for Health friends will win a tropical fruit basket from Melissa’s (a $67 value) plus a copy of Melissa’s 50 Best Plants on the Planet cookbook (a $35 value)! Enter today if you want in on this great giveaway.

You know how much we love Melissa’s Produce. You can’t beat their products for quality, freshness and great taste. And of course, now that it’s National Nutrition Month, we thought it would be a good time to remind everybody that fresh fruit is the dessert that Mother Nature wants you to eat. It also feeds the craving for a sweet treat (tropical fruit especially registers high on the sweet-stuff scale, in my opinion). When you think about it, fruit is practically perfect! Many fruits come in a single serving “package,” with an edible “wrapper,” and of course, are low in calories, yet high in nutrients. Just check out the picture of the Melissa’s Deluxe Exotic and Tropical Fruit Basket pictured above—who wouldn’t want to get one of these beautiful baskets of unusual fruits delivered right to the door? (Keep this in mind when you’re tempted to bring flowers to your hostess this spring—you know she would rather have this fruit basket.)

The Deluxe Exotic and Tropical Fruit Baskets we’re giving away feature over 7 pounds of luscious, seasonal exotic fruit. Based on availability, the basket may include Asian pears, blood oranges, cherimoyas, baby pineapples, pepino melons, starfruit, coconut, kiwis, passion fruit, mangoes, tamarillos or other fresh and tropical fruits. And the book in our giveaway is also a beauty! Melissa’s 50 Best Plants on the Planet cookbook, is authored by Cathy Thomas, the award-winning food columnist at the Orange County Register. It contains 150 recipes packed with the most nutrient-dense fruits and vegetables. (This book would make a great Mother’s Day gift, by the way!)

Want to try and win a tropical fruit basket from Melissa’s? Two friends will win the a basket plus the cookbook—a $102 value! And two more friends will also win cookbooks! Here’s what to do:

Also, please “Like” Melissa’s Produce on Facebook, too. Then, tell us in the comment section below (not on Facebook) which exotic or tropical fruit is your favorite!  This contest open to U.S. residents.
