Win A Crock-Pot And Crock-Pot Seasoning Mixes!

Crock pot slow cookerWe’re huge fans of slow cooking, and who wouldn’t like a nice new Crock-Pot (maybe to replace your ancient, burnt orange-colored model)?

Enter today to win a 7-qt Crock-Pot and Crock-Pot Seasoning Mixes!

One lucky reader will win a new Crock-Pot ($40 value) plus Crock-Pot Seasoning Mixes (and 4 additional winners will snag the seasoning mixes to use with their own slow cookers). Enter now!

Slow cooking is one of the easiest, most economical ways to cook—and you don’t need to be feeding a crowd to take advantage of a good slow cooker recipe. Lots of slow cooker recipes utilize leaner cuts of meat, which become more tender as they cook all day (these cuts are frequently less expensive, too). And, slow cooked dishes make for fabulous leftovers for lunch the next day.

The Crock-Pot name is practically synonymous with slow cooking, and frankly, cooking doesn’t get much easier than when done in a slow cooker. However, if following a slow cooker recipe is too much to deal with, or you just don’t have the time, the folks at Crock-Pot have introduced a new line of Seasoning Mixes to make it even easier to slow cook one of your favorite meals.

Crock-Pot Seasonings MixWe received samples of the three varieties of new Crock-Pot Seasoning Mixes that are currently available (more flavors are in the works).  We tried them—in fact my daughter made dinner that night all by herself (ok, the slow cooker did most all of the work). It was super easy and, when paired with a salad, an entree of lean protein cooked with a Crock-Pot Seasoning Mix in either Savory Pot Roast or Hearty Beef Stew makes a nicely-rounded meal. The recipe directions are right on the package, though we strayed a bit and went heavier on the vegetables for our taste tests. There is also a BBQ Pulled Pork variety that would result in a nice, game-day sandwich-bun stuffing. If you want to go more creative, check out the recipes on their website—they use the seasoning mixes in “augmented” recipes, so you can mix it up a bit.

Want to try and Win A Crock-Pot and the new Crock-Pot Seasonings Mixes?

I don’t use it nearly as often as I would like to because it’s a dinosaur (about 20+ years old) and because it’s a small one and doesn’t really make enough for my whole family, unless we’re just cooking one component of the meal in it. My #1 favorite thing to make (or I should say to have made) is my husband’s shredded bbq beef. OMG, it’s amazing. Life-changing. Seriously. I also like to do soups and stews in it.

My mom has been using a crock pot ever since I was young, and I have always LOVED the recipes that she and I have created using it. Since then, I have moved out of my hometown home in Ohio and into my own apartment in Chicago with that same crock pot.

My time is very limited, as I am a very busy with work and other activities, so using my crock pot has saved me time during the night and morning. My favorite recipes over the years include pulled pork, breakfast casseroles, pot roast, cream cheese chicken, and hamburger soup.

I have used my crock pot so much over the years that it is slowly but surely being worn and torn. Receiving a new crock pot would be amazing! I have also been on a serious health kick for several months, so this would make my end goal that much easier for me, as I could make meals in advance for the week.

I have shared this on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and LinkedIn.
