I’m a big fan of flax and use it in myriad ways. In fact, you will ALWAYS find ground flax in my refrigerator or freezer (stays fresher that way). What’s so good about flax? It’s rich in omega-3 fatty acids (which most of us don’t get enough of), is a good source of both soluble and insoluble fiber (again, most of us can use more), it boasts a wide range of vitamins and minerals, and provides lignans—natural compounds that convey some heart-health benefits and also may play a role in preventing some hormonally-related cancers.
I received samples of Linwoods flaxseed blends and other Linwoods “super food” products in the mail to try out at home. Since I was a fan of flax prior to receiving these products, it wasn’t too hard for me to think of ways to try these flaxseed blends. The easiest way I use them is to sprinkle them onto my yogurt or cottage cheese. If I’m baking, I nearly always use ground flax as part of the flour mixture—just ask my kids (when they were little they used to wonder aloud why pancakes at our house were always “more brown” than those at their friends’ houses)! Anyway…Linwoods flaxseed blends are nutrient-dense—they combine the ground flax with thing like nuts, seeds and berries. Think of them as a convenient way to boost the “health status” of foods you already eat. Try adding them to your hot cereal, combine them with the other ingredients in your homemade granola, or stir them into soups, casseroles and grain-based side dishes or salads. Need more ideas? Check out the recipes on the Linwoods website. All Linwoods blends are gluten free, GMO free, dairy free, yeast free, vegan and have no added sugar.
Based in Northern Ireland and established in 1965, Linwoods is a family owned company whose products are sourced in their raw form from around the world. Linwoods products are found in the U.S. in select supermarkets and specialty foods stores including Whole Foods.

I have never tried flax seeds but i have heard that they are extremely good for you I would add this to baking and to my soups. Would love to win this to try .
Sounds like it would make a yummy addition to my protein shake in the morning.
I would use this in baking.
I use flaxseed on cereal and in muffins. Posted above article to twitter @meatkills.
I have been wanting to add flaxseed to my diet as at 60 I am just needing more energy and the anti-inflamatory benefits. I have watched the infomercial for the NutriBullet and they recommend adding flaxseed to their “blasts”. I tasted one at my daughter-in-law’s house and really liked it so I think it might work for me. Also it sounds like I could add a spoonful to almost anything I am going to eat, which is a great convenience. Swallowing supplement pills is difficult, and who knows if they even work? But adding this to my food would be easy and it is real food! I like you on FaceBook and read your email ever day, and I like Linwoods superfoods on FaceBook. I do not tweet so strike out there, but I would really like to win this. Thank you all for the opportunity.
I use flaxseed in protein smoothies and sometimes oatmeal. I have never used a flavored flax but I am always game to try new things! Trying to loose weight and cut calories and finding foods that are healthy and satisfying, yet still taste good, is sometimes a challenge.
