    2. I’m following A4H on Twitter now (my username is stamhappy).
    3. I teach Spinning classes 3-4 days/week and run on my “off” days.

  2. DC says

I try to find an array of activities to stay fit and not get bored. I love summer for just that reason, b/c you can enjoy swimming, tenning, jogging, bike riding, even just throwing/kicking the ball around with the young ones and you don’t even feel as if it wer an “exercise”! I do, however, love my morning runs and can’t start the day off without meditation and yoga! A fit mind, body, and soul is a fit you!

  3. says

    I follow you on facebook!
I try to mix things up everyday. My body seems to respond to routine exercises. More repititon, less weight. It seems to build more muscle much faster this way! Lots of body movement exercises. Lunges, push ups, step ups and lots of boxing/bootcamp style workouts. It moves you in ways your body does not normally move, and challenges it to work harder.

  4. angie says

I set what I thought was an unachievable goal — a half marathon, and trained for it 4x/week mixing it up with yoga, spinning, and running and just watching a little more of what I ate and I lost 8lbs.

  5. Tammy says

I do something healthy for my self/body everyday! I run, strength training, yoga, and eat whole foods.

I LIKE on FB; and subscriber. I stay fit with breathing excercises in the morning to oxygenate and followed by stretching. I love walking and hiking and meditating. I also love combination exercises. I properly hydrate myself with my filtered water bottle I take with me everywhere so that I save the environment and continue to drink filtered water.

  8. sallie sarrel says

To stay fit, in addition to reading you on facebook, I do reformer pilates, run and walk my two toy poodles everyday!

  9. says

I am doing my second round of Insanity!! Along with that, I lift weights 3 times a week. I’m also a runner; I’ve done 3 half marathons and tons of 5 & 10ks!

  10. Beth Mickens says

Follow you on both :) To stay fit I workout 4-5 times a week always switching up workouts. My fvaorite workout currently is performing a Cardio and Weights workout. Alternating, I run for 5 minutes doing either an interval run (30 seconds at 80% and 1 minute at 40%), a steady pace run or calroie burn (includes fast changes in speed and incline) then I circuit weight train with at least three moves (10-12 reps each, doing each once, and then repeating teh circuit three more times) I repeat this 3 more times, switching up the weight training workouts ot target different muscles areas and end with another 5 minute run and some ab work. It keeps my heart rate up, and I don’t feel too tired from a long run to lift weights or too worn out from lifting so many weights to run. It’ll definitely make you sweat!

  11. Athena R says

I walk on my treadmill, do plyometrics and do circuits with handweights to stay fit.

    3. On days I go to the gym, I ride the exercise bike, use the elliptical, or jog on the treadmill for 30-45 minutes, and follow that with a weight training routine. On “off” days, I walk or jog around a local pond and use a resistance band to do a light workout.

I’m a follower of both and love your posts, links and giveaways:)

Try to spend a 1/2 hour a day, 3-4 days a week on either the elliptical or treadmill and work with free weights and kettlebells for strength training on those same days as well… filled in with lots of crunches for some core work.

I hope I’m one of the lucky ones!

  14. Karen says

I enjoy doing yoga and walking. I try to stay in a routine but still having trouble with doing that. I aspire to be a dedicated person to exercise…I just keep trying :)

I go to the gym 3 – 4 times a week. Take the stairs at work (4 flights) at least twice a day; and usually walk around my neighborhood if I don’t make it to the gym itself. I finally was able to get the money to afford a personal trainer 1/week at my gym, which I hope will help as well!

  20. Serena Rebechini says

WOW this is great. Boy do I need some new workout gear! I’m affraid someday soon my favorite workout pants are going to give one of my yoga buddies more than they bargained for from my rear view!

My newest loves are mixing in hot yoga and zumba to break up my regular routine of 10 min cardio warm up, 30-40 minutes of weights, followed by 30 minutes of cardio. I alternate with zumba and yoga to keep my body guessing. The kids and I also take regular walks and bike rides. I’ve lost 20lbs in the last 6 months and easily gained 5 lbs of muscle! I’m at my target BMI and holding steady. Very exciting.

  21. Jenefer Lynn says

I am very anti-exercise, always have been unless it involved playing volleyball. To help cure me of my exercisephobia , we got a dog and he will not let me go more than 6 hours without taking him for a walk. He helps me get about 2 hours of walking (okay, honestly, it’s more like fast walking/jogging because he thinks I go to slow lol) in a day. I also have been paying more attention to what I eat. I’m a single mom of 3 kids and I’ve started realizing that I have to take care of myself and get into good shape in order to be around to watch them grow into the amazing adults I know they will be.

  22. Athena S says

To stay healthy, I mix it up – kickboxing, biking, running, lifting weights, walking the dog, chasing my 3 year old around, always something different. I have worked hard the last year to clean up my eating in conjunction with the rest of my healthy lifestyle. We try to eat whole foods, fix healthy meals, while still enjoying the things we love like ice cream.

  23. Sheryl Edwards says

I take my dog for daily walks. lift weights, do core exercises, ride my bicycle.
In the warmer months, I also enjoy swimming & doing water aerobics.
