Barbara’s Bakery Whole-Grains for Your Heart

Barbara’s Bakery has been making wholesome baked goods just north of San Francisco  in Petaluma, CA (not far from where I live) since 1971. The bakery prides itself for always using the best whole grains as nature intended and they’ve never strayed from that mission and vision since day one.

Since their bread-baking days, Barbara’s Bakery is now known for its cereals, snack bars, cookies and crackers. All of Barbara’s goodies are free of high fructose corn syrup, hydrogenated oils, artificial flavors, colors, preservatives and additives. There are so many products that they have that are made with whole grains, are fiber-packed. I almost always have 1-2 types of Barbara’s cereal in my cereal shelf.  (I just checked. Right now,  I have Barbara’s Shredded Spoonfuls Multigrain cereal with 4 grams fiber, 4 grams protein and just 5 grams (just over 1 tsp!) sugar per serving.)

The other thing I like about Barbara’s is that they are always doing programs that give back to support organic gardening and sustainable living.

Five lucky AppforHealth.com readers will win a variety of Barbara’s Bakery wholesome products including  four different fiber-rich cereals and several cereal bar flavors.  Tell us what you’ve done (or going to do) to show your heart some love today.
